How You Can Help
Currently only about 23 percent of Meals on Wheels clients pay for their meals completely. The remaining 77 percent are funded by federal, state and county monies; partial payments; United Way; individual donations; and special fund-raising projects. Government monies are limited and projections indicate that funding will become more limited in the future. You can help Meals on Wheels in several ways.
Contributions (are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law)
- To Meals on Wheels at any time
- In memory of or in honor of a loved one or friend. An appropriate card will be sent to the person you indicate.
- In memory or honor of a mother or father on Mother's Day or Father's Day.
- Matching gifts from your employer
- By remembering Meals on Wheels in your financial or estate planning. Support of our MOW endowment will ensure that we can continue to support independent living for future elderly and disabled persons.
